At Omikron Yachts, we believe that enjoying the beauty of cruising at sea and respecting the environment go hand in hand

That which is sustainable for the environment is sustainable for us. Likewise, we cannot sustain what is environmentally unsustainable. This is the imperative that drives us. Omikron Yachts take their time to reclaim the periods of extended cruising for meaningful guest experiences, authentically enjoying each other and the sea.

Our Team

The on-call professionals include the permanent staff of 35 specialised employees, a host of external specialised associates and an award-winning team of naval architects and engineers ready to create stunning new building as well as carry on touch-ups, complete restoration and retrofitting.

Our History

Olympic Marine was founded in Lavrio, under the initial name of Olympic Yachts, as the Greek shipbuilder of reference for sailboats and other vessels in reinforced composite.
By the mid-70s, the yard had already achieved important milestones, carrying out successful projects across its wide offering.

  • Modern buildings of 8,750 m² were built to facilitate construction, accompanied by corresponding updates to the machinery and production methodology.

  • The yard’s range earned a reputation among the Greek and the international markets.

  • Models including the Olympic 33, the Olympic 47, the Carter range and many more are still considered to be the best of their kind.

  • Fishing boats, hundreds of lifeboats, and even patrol boats for the Greek Coast Guard were built.

  • A repair unit was established, with technology never before accessible in Greece.

In 2019, the need to brand the shipyard emerged amidst the successful reception of Dream, a 107m motor yacht built by Olympic Marine. Rolling the landmark project’s positive reception into a new wave of ongoing activity, Omikron Yachts launched with parallel lines of cutting-edge motor yachts and super sailing yachts.

Facilities

The modern unit includes 4 buildings totalling 9,000 m² of state-of-the-art infrastructure. Amidst its constant development, the yard installed a new travel lift with lifting capacity of 350t, which operates in a new 12.5m wide dock. At the same time, the carpentry department adopted CNC machines, capable of completely constructing interiors for the nautical use and beyond, while a special branch for 3D Design Engineering is already in operation, conducting Stress Analysis calculation and simulation. The yard’s offer is as advanced as it is broad, with forward-looking investments such as the specially designed Advanced Composite Studio to enhance the strength and lightness of the primary material with carbon fiber and vacuum infusion.
